![]() And spreading FUD and false rumors "I put my hand in an exhaust and it burnt my hand! This proves the xbox runs hotter t han the playstation even though physics says that is impossible!" doesn't change that at all. But the fact that the xbox is better engineered is objectively being demonstrated. Doesn't mean playstation won't sell better. This is rather shocking given Sony has 75 years under their belt as a hardware manufacturer, and Microsoft has 35 as a software developer, but it is still reality.ĭoesn't mean Playstation won't have great games. Less electricity used, in a smaller amount of space, with more information processed. It is better engineered", is based on this principle. The maxim that was stated, "there is a term for one device that is smaller AND more powerful than another. Which means the xbox is less likely to overheat than the playstation. NADIA, MATT, NADIA & MATT And I keep on waiting Waiting in the rain And I keep on hating all Hating all the pain And I keep on trying Trying to begin And I keep on dying Dying to fit in IVY. ![]() If it is putting out more heat (it isn't, but hypothetically if it is), it means it is retaining less. The xbox produces less heat than the playstation, because it uses less electricity. (because 9v12 looks worse than Pearce Thermal Equilibrium is why I mentioned that the system pushing out more heat (all other things equal) is the system that is running cooler. It's three times the size it needs to be, takes up more space on the silicon than it needs to, and has an overengineered heating element because they're running it 30% higher electricity than they designed the chip to run. There's nothing 'outside' of what one would expect. It's even the exact same size as a mid-tower. ![]() Justin Adams Mong What are you talking about? It's delidded, liquid metal cooled, with a nickle heatsync and vapor chamber combined with a horizontally mounted fan to change out the heat. ![]()
